Our free-range chicken & duck is all supplied by Keith Wickett and is reared on the farm near Bude in North Cornwall.  We have worked with Keith ever since we started back in 2010. The birds are raised in small flocks with daytime access to grassy paddocks and cosy coops to keep them safe at night.  

Fed on a natural diet and with access to forage the birds raised in this way grow far more slowly and have a much richer & more developed flavour.

The birds are killed and prepared on the farm so they don't have the additional stress of travelling to an abattoir.

Our Meat Boxes are always great value but when you Subscribe & Save you get an extra 5% off each order. How are your chickens and ducks raised?
Our poultry is all raised on the farm in North Cornwall.  They are fed an antibiotic free diet and are slowly grown on a natural diet with access to grassy pastures during the day and a safe coop at night.  The depth of flavour and quality of the meat means we consistently get rave reviews.

What are your order deadlines?
We have a 3-day lead time on our orders. All our poultry is prepared specifically for each order so you can be sure your chicken or duck is completely fresh when it arrives with you.

Can my order be frozen?
The meat we send you will be fresh and therefore suitable for home freezing. Very rarely for late orders we may have to send frozen items - if this is the case you will always be informed in advance of your order being dispatched.

How is the meat packaged for chilled delivery?
Our meat comes either vacuum-packed or packed in trays to ensure it remains in prime condition using the minimum amount of plastic packaging as possible.

For our courier deliveries our delivery boxes use innovative paper-based insulated packaging combined with reusable ice blocks which will keep your meat in top condition for a minimum of 48 hours.  Over 99.8% of all our orders arrive the next day less than 24 hours after we dispatch them.

For local deliveries we deliver using our own refrigerated vans. We will leave your order where you request. Many customers leave a cool box out if they are going to be out when we deliver.  For holiday cottages we will put the order away if we are given access to the property.

Where do you deliver to?
We deliver all over the UK from Wednesday through to Sunday each week. The Highlands and Islands can be delivered to by arrangement as courier charges and delivery times vary. Please contact us on 01872 211533 to arrange delivery to these areas.

I am ordering for a special occasion. Can you guarantee my order will be with me on time?
We dispatch your order to arrive on the delivery day you selected on checkout. However, on rare occasions there can be delays on the courier network due to weather or other issues so we do not guarantee the delivery day and cannot provide refunds or replacements for delayed deliveries unless the quality of the product has been compromised.

You can upgrade your delivery on checkout to a ‘before 12’ delivery but if your order is for a special occasion, we would recommend ordering your delivery to arrive the day before in case of any courier issues.
